Adidas introduced the Al Rihla as the official match ball for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Producing its 14th ball in a row for the FIFA World Cup, Adidas designed the Al Rihla to move faster through the air and withstand maximum match speed.
Jean Francois Path, Director of FIFA Marketing Services, said: “This is a gorgeous, sustainable and quality Adidas official ball. “In Qatar, where the most important tournament on the planet will be played, the stars will enjoy playing with the ball at the highest level, as will young footballers around the world.”

Designed after rigorous data collection in Adidas laboratories, wind tunnels and in the field, Al Rihla has optimum degrees of accuracy and reliability in the field.
Al Rihla is the first World Cup ball made with only water-based inks and adhesives. Al Rihla, which means ‘Journey’ in Arabic, was designed with inspiration from Qatar’s culture, architecture, iconic ships and flag.
