Germany looking for  2,000 airport personnels from Turkey!

In order to solve the personnel shortage, the German Aviation Industry wants to temporarily employ 2,000 people from Turkey at the airports in Germany. The German Air Transport Economics Association(GATEA)  submitted a proposal to the Federal Ministry of Labor in May aimed at removing legal obstacles.

In the proposal, “There is a shortage of 2,000 personnel in the field of ground handling services. We see the recruitment of workers from abroad as a way to meet this personnel need in the short term.” it was said.

According to GATEA, workers coming from Turkey;

• Speaks German at A2 level,
• Having certified dangerous goods training that meets the requirements of IATA (International Airline Association),
• It must meet the requirements of German reliability controls.

In a statement made by GATEA today, it was reported that German authorities are expected to quickly issue special permits for the deployment of approximately 2,000 workers from Turkey at German airports.
